In this post, I’ll be introducing you a list of hotels in Singapore you can consider for staycation this holiday season that are $250 and below.* The hotels listed varies from luxury business hotels to boutique names with 4 star ratings, so take your pick!

While there are many popular hotels recommended for staycations, you’ll be able to find some hidden gems that are not so well-known; but they’ll still have great features and amenities that will complete a romantic staycation for you and your date.

Here’s the bonus part; this list is completed with Agoda booking links for each of these hotels. That means the best prices have been sourced for you! Simply click on the hotel names to access the booking page.

*Room rates below $250 are not inclusive of hotel tax and service fee. The prices are based on the booking period from 1st Dec’20 – 3rd Dec’20. Rooms are subjected to availability so do make your booking soon if you don’t want to miss out on the deals.

1) Studio M

If you look up Studio M reviews, you’ll notice most guests raved about the unique loft-room design, comfy beds and the 3 metre bay windows in each room that allow natural light to flow in, giving the room a comfortable, cosy and snuggish feel.

Located in the middle of Robertson Quay, you can bring your date on a brunch date to any of the famed cafes located in the vicinity or go for a quiet dinner at the restaurants along Singapore River.

Spend the day lounging by the outdoor pool located on the second floor if you like to stay in.

2) Amara Singapore

Located in the quiet neighbourhood of Tanjong Pagar, Amara Singapore is a 4-star hotel that offers spacious rooms, with separate shower and bathtubs.

I observed that several reviews credit Amara for their excellent service. Even if there are bad reviews, the management is quick to reply to rectify the issues.

So expect a comfortable an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Enjoy dinner at the famed Bar-Roque Grill, a modern French rotisserie that promises quality French cuisine in a lavish yet unpretentious ambience.

3) M Hotel

If you like to enjoy something luxurious but at half the price tag, check out M Hotel. The rooms are designed luxuriously for comfort, and service at M Hotel is known to be of 5-star quality.

Chill over drinks at J-bar balcony and enjoy live music from the bands that play on Tuesday-Saturdays

4) Travelodge Harbourfront Singapore

If you frequent Harbourfront area, you may have noticed this inconspicuous hotel opposite Vivocity. With Mount Faber backing it, you’ll be surrounded with lush greenery.

The rooms may be small, but they are designed and equipped for comfort. If you are spending the day at Sentosa, this is a good staycation alternative if you don’t intend to splurge at the resorts and hotels on the island.

5) Capri by Fraser

One of the most value-for-money hotels in Singapore, Capri offers spacious studio rooms, with a well-equipped kitchenette and huge bathrooms.

It is evident the hotel splurged on its décor and amenities as everything looks hip, modern and sleek. Talk about luxury-vs-price ratio, Capri is one to consider if you are looking to impress without breaking your wallet.

6) ParkRoyal at Beach Road

After its renovation, it seemed that ParkRoyal at Beach Road offers vast, comfy and luxurious rooms for a small price tag.

Most reviews commended the hotel for its friendly service and the huge outdoor pool with a view of the Singapore Flyer and CBD skyline.

Although it is centrally located, it is still situated away from the city buzz.

7) One Farrer Hotel

Chic, elegant, classy; these are words you can describe One Farrer Hotel. Located at the heart of the Farrer Park district, this is the place to go if you are searching for a staycation with tranquility.

With close proximity to Farrer Park MRT and other shopping malls, you won’t need to look far to find exciting activities place of interest.

With it’s sleek modern runic interior design and wide range of amenities, it is truly luxury at an affordable price.

8) Charlton Hotel

Surrounded by Singapore’s major shopping districts like the Marina Bay and Orchard Road, Carlton Hotel is the go-to place for shopaholics to escape from the daily 9 to 5 grind.

The thing that sets Carlton Hotel apart from the others is that they offer babysitting services for young couples who are looking to take a break from parenting.

With spacious rooms and extremely helpful hotel staffs, it’s no surprise that their rooms are constantly sold out during the holiday season.

9) Hotel Nuve

Located near Bugis Mrt, I would say this is a hotel for the hipster couples out there. Its basic and minimalist design looks classy enough with marble elements blended in their clean white décor.

Most guests like it for its simple and cosy vibe.

Here’s another value-for-money luxurious hotel you can consider for a staycation in the vibrant and happening Clarke Quay area.

For just a little over $200, you’re going to get a spacious room, on top of all the amenities of a business hotel (bathroom with bathtubs, outdoor pool, gym, restaurants etc)

11) Holiday Inn Express Katong

Situated in Katong Village, this hotel is pretty secluded and ideal for couple who are looking for a quiet staycation. It looks quite like a boutique hotel but most of the functions and facilities of a business hotel.

Did I mention that they’re just located 2 minutes away from the famous Katong Laksa? The hotel also features a variety of dining options; so you literally can spend your whole day in the hotel.

Or you can head over to East Coast Park for an outdoor date.

12) Hotel Indigo

Hotel Indigo is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Katong district. Drawing inspirations from the Joo Chiat shophouses, each room is filled with bright, striking post-modern decor.

For it’s slightly upscale price, you get to enjoy a dip in the pool with an amazing view overlooking the nearby Katong area. What’s more, every room has its own rain shower and oversized bathtub.
