What These Columns Mean
Priorities Met
How many of the priorities you picked the insurer’s own product page or policy wording says the plan meets. A benefit the insurer does not state counts as not met. Premiums are quote-only and are not compared.

Our Method

How This Comparison Works

You pick the cover type and the priorities that matter to you. For each plan we check the insurer’s own product page and policy wording, read on 28 Oct 2026, for whether it states that benefit: repairs at any workshop of your choice, an NCD protector (optional or included), cover for drivers under 25 or with a licence under two years, personal accident cover included, windscreen cover included and a courtesy car included. Plans that meet more of your priorities are listed first; plans that meet the same number are ordered by how many of the other benefits they also state. A benefit the insurer does not state counts as not met and is marked as not stated. This sorts by features only: it is not a quality rating, a claims-service rating or a price comparison. Premiums depend on your car, age, driving record and NCD, and are quote-only, so we do not compare them. Standard own-damage excess is mostly printed only in the policy schedule or your quote, so we show young and inexperienced-driver excess where an insurer publishes it but do not rank on excess.

Only products we checked in the last 30 days can rank. Expired offers are left out. Paid links never change the order. We compare a selection of products, not every product on the market.

General information for comparison, not advice. Check the policy wording and ask for a quote on the insurer’s site before you buy. Benefits, limits and excess depend on the plan, your car and your driver details. Some insurers show different details on different pages: where they do, we say which we used. Premiums are quote-only and are not compared.
