What This Estimate Assumes
Rough estimate for tax residents, before rebates and tax credits. Foreigners are usually tax residents if they stay or work in Singapore for 183 days or more in the year. Non-residents are taxed differently. Choose the work-pass option to compare: as a non-resident, employment income is taxed at a flat 15% or the resident rates, whichever is higher, with no personal reliefs, and employment of 60 days or less in the year is exempt, except for company directors, public entertainers and professionals. The residency check is a rough screen using IRAS’s 183-day test, its two-year and three-year concessions and work passes valid for a year or more. It treats your days in Singapore as your days of employment and does not cover business-trip rules, tax clearance, director’s fees or other income taxed at 24%. IRAS decides your status. Foreigners on a work pass pay no CPF, so choosing Foreigner sets CPF relief to 0, and the work-pass option leaves CPF relief out and counts SRS only if you are a resident. YA 2026 taxes income earned in 2025. The YA 2027 option plans for 2026 income with the same rates and reliefs: IRAS lists one rate table for YA 2024 onwards, and Budget 2026 did not change it. IRAS lists no Personal Income Tax Rebate for YA 2026. Enter income before personal reliefs, and only reliefs you qualify for. Self-employed: enter net trade income (revenue minus allowable expenses) and the compulsory MediSave you paid in the year as CPF relief. SRS is capped at S$15,300 for Citizens/PRs or S$35,700 for foreigners, based on your choice. Then the S$80,000 cap on total personal reliefs applies. Foreigners must make the yearly SRS declaration. If your citizenship or PR status changed, get your prorated limit from your SRS operator. CPF cash top-up relief is up to S$8,000 for yourself and S$8,000 across eligible family members. This one box does not check those separate limits or who qualifies. Child relief assumes the full Qualifying Child Relief (QCR); adjust it yourself if you share the claim. Employees: enter your actual eligible CPF from your job. We do not check whether you qualify for each relief. This does not replace an IRAS assessment.
